A:
We provide several videos that are very detailed with the exact information. The videos show what you will need to care for your new puppy. Also once you have purchased your puppy we are available 24/7 day and night to E-mail or call anytime with questions you may have.
Q:
How often should I be feeding my new puppy?
A:
Depending on if you are feeding dry or RAW. With dry you can offer food 24/7. With RAW you will need to feed your puppy 3-4 times a day until a year of age > each puppy is different. After a year of age your puppy should then be fed 2-3 times a day for the rest of their lives. Remember each puppy is different and may require more or less feeding times. A balanced diet of protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Fresh pedialyte and or filtered water is essential for all living things.
Q:
How often should I offer pedialyte or water for my new puppy?
A:
At all times 24/7. Your puppy should always have fresh clean clear pedialyte or filtered water to drink.
Q:
How often will I need to bathe and groom my new puppy?
A:
Your puppy will need a weekly bath, but do it more often (every 2-3days) if he/she needs cleaning from playtime. Do not use shampoo designed for humans, they are acidic or may contain alcohol and will eventually cause damage to your Maltese’s coat. Daily brushing will help prevent matting and free of debris for Long coats; “puppy cut” styled Maltese dogs will need to be groomed approximately every 6-8 weeks. The hair between the pads of the foot can grow fast and will tend to mat. Ignored, the mats will increase in size and spread the pads further apart.
Q:
I have slick wood and tile floors > will my puppy be safe walking on the slick surfaces?
A:
Your puppy will need the bottom of his/her foot pads clean of hair and debris at all times. Keeping the bottom of the foot pads clean of hair and other debris will make it more safe for your puppy to walk on the slick surfaces. Using a fine-toothed comb and tiny safe scissors you can yourself on a daily or weekly basis trim and clean the foot pads of your puppy. This will give him/her a more safe grip while he/she walks on the slick surfaces.
