Miley Cyrus celebrated her Super Sweet Sixteenth birthday on November 23, 2008. Disney’s brightest shining star Princess Miley Cyrus celebrated her big day early with a super-sized birthday bash on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at “The Happiest Place on Earth,” Disneyland California. Over 6,000 of Miley’s closest friends, family and fans showed up. A bevy of celebrities turned out to wish the Disney star a happy 16th, including David Archuleta, Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford (plus her beautiful children), Vanessa Williams, Lisa Rinna, Jennie Garth, Heather Locklear, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, along with “Hannah Montana” co-stars Cody Linley and Emily Osment and Tyra Banks (who played onstage hostess).
On the event’s purple carpet – that’s Cyrus’ favorite color – the “Hannah Montana” star bragged that her parents bought her a new puppy for her birthday. Miley’s parents were so happy that the puppy ended up being a surprise, Billy Ray Cyrus said “Miley is really hard to surprise!” When asked what else she wanted for her birthday Miley said, “My parents shut down Disneyland for me, so I’m good for a while”. Disneyland was closed to the general public from 6:00pm to past midnight! Tickets to Miley’s birthday cost $250 and the proceeds went to the Youth Service America charity.

Miley’s parents got her a very special gift that a lot of love, thought, attention and energy went into, Miley’s very special puppy Sofie Cyrus. Miley herself was quoted as boasting, “This is the most amazing sweet 16 that a girl could have!” As for the present she loved the most, she told People Magazine, “My dog that I just got named Sofie. I’m so excited!” Miley got the idea for the name Sofie from the name of the dog her late grandfather owned.
Sofie Cyrus is a Maltipoo puppy. That means she is a mix between a Maltese and a Poodle. She is a very special little girl and made a very special birthday gift for Miley Cyrus.
Sofie was raised by Manesah Hubble-Prince and her twelve-year-old daughter Caylin. Manesah owns the company Princess Pet AKA Celebrity Dog Breeder known for “The Happiest Puppies On Earth.” Princess Pet Celebrity Dog Breeder is a private breeder owned by the Hubble-Prince’s who have been a Navy family for twenty-years. Manesah’s husband is a Lieutenant in the Navy and the family is very proud of serving their country.
Manesah and Caylin were already huge fans of Miley Cyrus and her Disney Channel show Hannah Montana, so when they got the call from Miley’s management about wanting a puppy for Miley’s Sweet 16 Disney Birthday Bash they were ecstatic!
Sofie had a very pampered life before she met Miley. Being shampooed all the time and getting pedicures and eating all the right food. Sofie was even potty trained on pee-pads before she ever met Miss Miley!
Manesah and Caylin were flown down to California with Sofie for Miley’s birthday party. When they arrived they were treated VIP all day, meeting with Miley’s management and lawyers, getting ready to deliver Sofie to her new owner. They were given VIP badges and escorted to the special Disney Dream Suites Hotel to an exclusive floor that you can’t even rent because it’s reserved for the stars. That’s where Miley and her family and friends were staying during her birthday weekend.
Manesah and Caylin met Miley’s mommy and daddy, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley’s sister Noah and her cousin Emily Grace Reaves and her aunt. They even got to meet Miley’s boyfriend Justin Gaston before anyone even knew the two were a couple!
Miley was SO excited when she met Sofie, and Sofie was just as excited! Everyone said that Miley and Sofie were so similar to each other. All of Miley’s other dogs are reserved and calm, but Sofie is just as hyper and outgoing as Miss Miley herself! Miley’s mommy Tish gave Sofie a special blue puppy bag so Miley could carry her around, but as we all know, Miley prefers to carry Sofie in her arms wherever she goes – pampering Sofie as much as she can.
Manesah said meeting Miley’s family was amazing, “It felt like I was at my family’s home.” Everyone was so down to earth and so excited for Sofie. They also respected Manesah so much for the great job she did raising Sofie and keeping her pretty all day so that she would look perfect for Miley. Billy Ray even realized that Sofie had just been shampooed.
Manesah made sure that nobody touched Sofie before Miley and her family. Making it even more special for Miley’s big day. The Hubble-Prince’s always keep up to date with Sofie even though she is with Miley now.
Princess Pet is a private breeder. Manesah conducts interviews personally to make sure her puppies “live a full and happy life of unsurpassed luxury, pampering and above all love.” They usually have anywhere from 5-15 dogs at one time, as each mommy dog can have 1-3 puppies at one time.
